Individual and Substance Abuse Counseling
Therapy can be a life changing experience you maybe didn’t know you needed. Often times, you may have a specific goal in mind you want to work on, but there may be times in the therapeutic process where other unexpected things can arise and need to be addressed. The therapeutic process is a collaborative process between the client and the therapist. The therapist is here to help the client facilitate desired changes and improve the overall quality and satisfaction of life. Change is often uncomfortable and inevitable. It can shake our self-esteem and heighten other symptoms that are already present such as depression and anxiety. However, change is not always bad, in fact, most changes in life lead to positive outcomes over time.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
Accelerated Resolution Therapy or ART is an evidence based practice used to treat a variety of mental health concerns such as trauma, phobias, panic attacks, depression, and PTSD to name a few. The process is very straightforward, using relaxing eye movements and a technique called Voluntary Memory/Image Replacement to change the way in which the negative images are stored in the brain. During our initial consult I will screen eligible clients who may benefit from this modality of treatment in addition to traditional talk therapy.
